On the drive to the airport it chucked it down with rain, other than 1 day when they was a small heavy shower not seen any rain.

Not looking forward to the waiting 6 hours at airport – couldn’t be helped Katie had to get home for work early tomorrow morning.  Then 14 hour flight but at least night flight and not had much sleep last few night.

Had a lovely meal of eggs benedict

And spoke to my lads on Skype which was brilliant they are as excited to see me as I am them

The 6 hour wait in the airport before the plane left felt like it went on so long I was relieved to get on the plane.  British airways are certainly the best airline I have flown with – reasonable amount of leg room even in economy class, food nice and great films available.  Thanks to Katie’s travel/sleeping tablet I managed over 6 hours sleep and watched Steve Jobs and pixels films.  It was an additional 2 hours to fly home because no tail wind so 14 hours on the plane – but we landed 20 minutes early.  After 20 hours of sitting with small walks around my back and left leg were killing me!!

Queues at Heathrow weren’t bad had to get the shuttle train to the arrivals terminal then go through passport control which is now automated very weird – you walk through these glass doors that come up to your waist put you passport face down then it lets you through in theory – not for me !!

I walked through the glass doors and they shut straight on my hand and waist – I was worried I had broken my hand as the bruise and the pain were bad, then when I did get to the passport scanner it didn’t let me through – I had to see the official on duty and explain where I had been, why I was travelling on my own and why I only had hand luggage – annoying !!

I then went through customs which was deserted at 6am and on to see my boys.  Sadly only Henry and Daniel had come – I found out Indy had taken it really badly that I had gone away and hadn’t wanted to come to the airport, but Henry and Daniel were so excited to see me – after a big hug Daniel said McDonald’s – typical thinking of his stomach.

It turned out Indy said it felt like part of his heart had gone whilst I was away – bless him he is emotional but not normally on the outside.
