After waking up at 2am – jet lag I guess – we left our hotel at 4.15am. It was a short 2 hour flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia. We saw beautiful sun rise from the airplane
Immigration and passport control were awful in Cambodia, 3 different forms to fill out and no one telling you what forms you needed or where to go, we kept queueing then finding out we had to fill out yet another form and join a different queue!!
There was very little humidity in Cambodia which was a welcome relief after Kuala Lumpurs 38 Celsius and 90% humidity, it was overcast but still a comfortable at 28 Celsius.

We got to the Saem Siem Reap hotel at 9am, check in wasn’t til 12 but they sorted out our room earlier than expected.

Even in the lobby area of the hotel there were so many little birds chirping – it was wonderful.
After we went to our room we headed to the pool. There were lots of flowers round the pool area, but the scent from the jasmine flowers was amazing
